Suralaya gets coal supply commitment from Kalimantan producers: Update

A government official confirmed on Friday that four Kalimantan-based coal producers had agreed to supply coal to the Suralaya coal-fired power plant in Banten province, owned by PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state electricity firm PT PLN.
?Suralaya will get a total of around 1.7 million tons (of coal) from Adaro, Arutmin, Kideco and Berau Coal over the February?April period,? Geology and Mineral Resources Director General Simon F. Sembiring told Petromindo.Com.
Simon said Suralaya would consume around 2.9 million tons of coal during the period. ?Another 1.2 million tons would be provided by its main supplier PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam,? he said. (alex/godang)
