Suralaya power plant?s coal consumption to rise 5%

PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PLN, which runs the 3,400 MW Suralaya power plant in Banten, stated that coal consumption of the plant is expected to increase by about 5 percent in 2015 from 12 million tons this year.

Indonesia Power President Director, Supangkat Iwan Santoso told Petromindo.com recently that coal supply for the power plant has come from several miners including PTBA, Adaro, Berau Coal, Kideco and several middle range coal producers in Kalimantan and South Sumatra via long term contracts.
