Suralaya unit 8 undergoing maintenance

PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, said that its Suralaya coal-fired power plant unit 8 in Banten Province is currently undergoing maintenance, a process expected to be completed on October 21.
Indonesia Power Operational Director, Resep Tyasno told Petromindo.com that the maintenance work has begun since September 9. ?The Suralaya unit 8 has been undergoing periodic maintenance since September 9, and will resume operation October 21,? he said.
He added that the current rainy season and bad weather condition has not disrupted coal supply to the plant.
Suralaya is Indonesia Power's largest coal fired power station, with a total generating capacity of 4,025 MW, comprising of units 1 to 4 (400 MW each), units 5 to 7 (600 MW each) and unit 8 625 MW.
