Surya Energi eyeing more photovoltaic plant projects

PT Surya Energi Indotama, a subsidiary of engineering firm PT Len Industri, is seeking to develop more photovoltaic power plants in the country with combined capacity of up to 15 MW via independent power producer (IPP) scheme as the firm plans to participate in upcoming tenders, Kontan reported Monday.
Agus Iswanto said that to meet the target, the company will needs total funds of Rp 375 billion. He added that parent firm Len Industri will be in charge of finding the necessary funds, while Surya will be responsible in developing and operating the plants.
Len recently won a tender to develop a 5 MW photovoltaic power plant in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara Province. (*)
