Surya Jaya Energy starts coal production

East Kalimantan coal mining firm PT. Surya Jaya Energy has stared production from its mine earlier this year with initial production of 20,000 tonnes.

Commercial Director Albertus Wirawan told Petromindo.Com that production would be ramped up to designed capacity of 100,000 tonnes per month.

South Korean firm LG Group buys all of the company?s production, he said.

The company?s production comes from two mining license (KP) areas in Kutai Kartanegara. The company?s mine produces mid CV coal, he said.

Apart from the Kutai Kartanegara mine, the company also has 3 mining concession in Sangatta regency, which are currently at exploration stage. (denny)
