Coal mining company PT Surya Jaya Energy (SJY) is planning to re-operate its coal mining concession in East Kalimantan later this year.

Benny Cahyadi Santoso, the marketing manager of the company told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the company is expecting to produce about 100,000 tons this year from the concession.

"We plan to produce coal again in November for re-supplying our existing customers," Benny said, adding that since February 2013 the company had halted the coal mining operation due to the drop in coal prices.

Benny said that the company is expecting to produce about 50,000 tons per month with the CV range from 4,800 GAR. The company had been producing coal since 2011 before halting the operation in early 2013.
