Private power company PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) is now led by Takashi Ire, who replaced Mohammad Effendi, who has been appointed as President Commissioner.
This was revealed by Effendi to Petromindo.com on Wednesday. BPI is a joint venture between J-Power, Itochu Corp, and PT Adaro Power, a subsidiary of IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk. He said that Ire is a senior official from J-Power.
Effendi, who represents Adaro in the joint venture, said that the appointment of Ire to lead BPI was made as the company entered the technical aspect in the development of the 2x1,000 MW PLTU Batang coal-fired power plant project in Central Java.
Effendi said that technical aspect of the project has been started, adding that until the end of this year, construction progress is expected to reach about 10 percent.
