Talisman asks permission to open data room

Canadian firm Talisman Energy Inc. had asked for permission from upstream authority BPMIGAS to open data room on Andaman III exploration block offshore North Sumatra.

Haposan Napitupulu, BPMIGAS? Planning Deputy, said on Monday the firm asked for permission to open data room on June 12. BPMIGAS gave permission to open data room for two days until June 13.

He did not specify the reasons behind the request. But, such a request is usually filed by a contractor if a third party seeks to farm into the block. Talisman is the operator of the block.
