Talisman books higher Indonesian production

The volume was 3 percent higher than the previous quarter and 3 percent lower compared to last year?s same quarter production despite an extensive planned maintenance shutdown on Tangguh Train-1. Production from Tangguh Train-1 is now restored and approaching full nameplate capacity, the company said.
Talisman has a 3.06 percent interest in BP-operated Tangguh LNG plant.
The company also reported that the first of two planned infill wells at Corridor PSC onshore South Sumatra was completed during the quarter and has the capacity to produce approximately 160 mmcfd gross raw gas. Corridor's Sumpal expansion project was sanctioned, which includes the Sumpal-7 well and doubling processing capacity at the facility, the company reported. Talisman has a 36 percent non-operating interest in Corridor block, which is operated by ConocoPhillips.
The Jambi Merang facilities, also in Southern Sumatra, were commissioned ahead of schedule during the quarter and gas began flowing in February with first commercial sales on April 1, 2011. Volumes are expected to reach 120 mmcfd gross sales gas in the third quarter of 2011.
Talisman has 25 percent interest in Jambi Merang.
The company also reported that it is preparing for a spud of the Lempuk well in Sageri PSC offshore South Makassar in the third quarter. (alex)
