Talisman conducting two joint studies

Canadian oil and gas firm Talisman Energy is conducting joint studies on two blocks onshore South Sumatra, according to an official of the firm.

The company?s Senior Geologist Hendra Baskara did not unveil the names of two blocks in South Sumatra. ?The two blocks are adjacent to the existing blocks which we operate at the moment,? he said, adding that the two joint studies are expected to be completed in July.

Talisman serves as operator in two blocks namely Andaman (100 percent) and Sakakemang (90 percent) blocks in South Sumatra. In addition, the firm has a 36 percent interest in the ConocoPhillips-operated Corridor block also in South Sumatra, a 3.06 percent interest in Tangguh LNG project in West Papua and 25 percent interest in Jambi Merang, Jambi.
