Talisman expects S. Sumatra gas sales to start in 2013

Canadian oil, gas firm Talisman Energy reported on Tuesday that it and partner ConocoPhillips will pursue sanction of Suban Phase 3 in the Corridor PSC, onshore South Sumatra for first gas sales in 2013.

The block?s operator ConocoPhillips is in talks over the possibility to supply gas from Suban-3 to state gas distribution firm PGN, which plans to sell the gas to West Java through its South Sumatra to West Java pipeline.

In April 2008, PGN's former CEO Soetikno said the firm was in talks with ConocoPhillips over supply of 250MMCFD of gas from the Suban-3 gas field.

Talisman has 36 percent working interest in Corridor block, with ConocoPhillips controlling 54 percent. (alex)
