Talisman posts lower production

Canadian firm Talisman Energy reported on Wednesday that production for the second quarter averaged 76,000 boepd, 1 percent lower than last quarter and 3 percent lower than the previous year.

It said in a quarterly report that production was down due to planned turnarounds at Jambi Merang and Tangguh, and the completion of the Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) sale.

This was partially offset by higher production from Corridor due to the start of partial production from the Letang Tengah Rawa Optimization project, and stronger domestic demand.

Talisman has a 36 percent interest in the ConocoPhillips-operated Corridor block PSC in South Sumatra, a 3.06 percent interest in Tangguh LNG project in West Papua and 25 percent interest in Jambi Merang.
