Canadian top oil, gas firm Talisman Energy reported on Tuesday that its latest deepwater exploration well in eastern Indonesia showed a disappointing result.

The company said that the Lempuk-1 well in Sageri PSC did have gas shows, but has been plugged and abandoned.

The Lempuk-1 well was spudded in October 2011.

Talisman has 50 percent interest in the block with French oil, gas giant Total SA holding the balance.
