Talisman reports increased Indonesian oil, gas production

Canadian oil, gas firm Talisman Energy reported on Wednesday that its net Indonesian oil, gas production in 2010 was approximately 76,400 BOEPD, an increase of 15% over last year.

Production increases came from optimization of facilities in Corridor block onshore South Sumatra and from both LNG trains nearing their design capacity at Tangguh, West Papua, the company said.

Production from the Corridor PSC was 61,300 BOEPD, a new record, reflecting facilities optimization, the company said.

The company has a 36 percent non-operated interest in Corridor block and 3.06 percent in Tangguh.

Talisman acquired a 25% interest in the Jambi Merang Joint Operating Body (JOB) block onshore Jambi in early 2010. The first phase of development drilling is complete and facilities construction is underway. Three new gas sales agreements were signed in November 2010. The project is on schedule for mid-2011 startup, the company said.

In the Ogan Komering JOB block, onshore South Sumatra, the company commenced a 37-well infill drilling program, which will be completed over the next three years. Drilling results from the nine wells drilled in 2010 are meeting expectations and are being brought onstream as they are completed, the company said.(alex)
