Talisman reports Indonesian oil, gas production increase

Canadian oil, gas firm Talisman Energy Inc. reported on Wednesday that its Indonesian oil, gas production averaged 76,200 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD) during the first quarter of 2010.

The figure is 21 percent higher over a year ago and 8 percent higher than the previous quarter.

?Sales from Corridor Block were up 16% with increased contract takes. Talisman's share of production from the Tangguh LNG facility averaged approximately 3,000 BOEPD, with Trains 1 and 2 running at around 75% capacity,? the Company said.

Talisman has a 36 percent non-operating interest in Corridor block, onshore Southern Sumatra with gross production averaged 56,000 BOEPD in 2009. The Company also has a 3.06% interest in the Tangguh LNG Project in Papua and interests in ONWJ oil, gas block offshore West Java and in SES block in Java Sea, all of which are producing blocks.

The Company also operates Andaman III exploration block offshore North Sumatra and Pasangkayu and Sageri exploration blocks in Makassar Straits.

Talisman acquired a 25% interest in the Jambi Merang Joint Operating Body (JOB) property in January. Plans are to drill three new wells and complete five existing wells by year end, with first production expected in mid-2011, it said. (alex)
