Talisman?s Indonesian oil production down in Q3 2002

Canadian oil, gas firm Talisman Energy Inc. said Wednesday its Indonesia oil and gas production during the third quarter of 2002 fell, as planned, to 16,765 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 93 million standard cubic feet of gas (MMSCFD) from 18,797 BOPD and 88 MMCFD in the third quarter of 2001.

As previously reported Talisman announced that it expected oil production from its Indonesian operation would go down to between 15,000 - 17,000 BOPD in 2002, while gas production would go up to 95-100 MMSCFD.

Meanwhile the company?s revenues in the third quarter from its oil and gas sales reached at C$69 million (C$ = US$0.6377) and total of $213 million for the first nine month of the year.

Talisman operates Ogan Komering PSC in South Sumatra, Tanjung EOR in South Kalimantan and Jambi EOR in Jambi. Talisman also has working interest in Corridor Block PSC in Central Sumatra and Madura PSC in East Java operated by Gulf Indonesia Resources (ConocoPhillips). (robert)
