Talisman says gas flow to W. Java to commence Q4

Canadian top oil, gas producer Talisman energy reported on Thursday that first gas from Corridor block PSC onshore South Sumatra to the new markets in West Java would commence in the fourth quarter of 2007, several months alter than original schedule of mid-year.

The company said in its quarterly report that construction of the Corridor segment of the natural gas pipeline from South Sumatra to West Java is progressing slower than expected.

Corridor block, which is operated by US oil firm ConocoPhillips is contracted to supply 2.3TCF of gas to state gas distribution firm PGN through the pipeline that the latter is currently constructed.

ConocoPhillips has 54 percent interest in Corridor block with Talisman and Pertamina has 36 percent and 10 percent, respectively. (alex)
