Canadian oil and gas firm Talisman Energy is in the process of transferring all of its interest and operatorship in the South Sageri and Sadang blocks to Total E&P Indonesie (TEPI), Indonesian unit of French energy giant Total SA.

?Currently we are waiting for approval from SKK Migas (upstream authority),? Arividya Novianto, TEPI?s VP HR Communications, General Services & Audit told Petromindo.com last week.

The South Sageri block, located offshore East Kalimantan, is 35 percent held and operated by Talisman. The firm?s partners in the block are Total E&P (45 percent) and Thai oil and gas firm PTTEP (20 percent). Meanwhile, the Sadang block located offshore Makassar Strait is 40 percent held by Talisman, and the remaining is held by Total E&P (30 percent) and PTTEP (30 percent).

If the transfer is approved, Total will hold 80 percent interest in South Sageri and 70 percent in Sadang.

Both blocks were awarded in 2010.
