Tanah Bumbu regency urged to ban four coal ports

South Kalimantan?s environmental agency has urged Tanah Bumbu regency to ban the operation of four coal ports in Bunati nature reserve and coral reef areas on fear that it would damage the protected coral reef areas.
?We have banned the operation of four coal ports but the administration of Tanah Bumbu regency issued them permits,? South Kalimantan?s Environmental Agency Head Rahmadi Kurdi said as quoted by Media Indonesia.
The four companies area Rindu Alam Raya, Tunas Inti Abadi, Berkat Borneo Coal and Borneo Indo Bara.
Rahmadi said that the office had reported the case to the Environment Ministry office in Jakarta.(*)
