Tanah Laut plans coal belt conveyor in S. Sumatra

IDX-listed coal logistics firm PT Tanah Laut Tbk is planning coal logistics infrastructure project that will connect producing area in Muara Enim and Lahat to Tanjung Api Api port in South Sumatra.
The company said in a filing with the IDX on Monday that it was teaming up with overseas companies and has earlier this year signed MoUs with 12 mining companies operating in South Sumatra.
The company said the infrastructure will be able to move 20-30 million tonnes of coal per annum to port within distance of more than 200 kilometers.
Early works have been undertaken and the company hoped to be able to start the project?s construction in late 2018 or early 2019, the company said.
According to the company?s January 2017 filing with the IDX, it will build belt conveyor to connect Muara Enim, Lahat and Tanjung Api Api.
