Tanah Laut?s unit buys coal transloader barge

Sea transportation and logistic firm PT Pelayaran Indx Lines, a company wholly-owned by Indonesia-listed PT Tanah Laut Tbk has signed coal transloader barge sale and purchase agreement with British Virgin Islands based firm Paternoster Group Limited for US$8.36 million.
The deal was signed on May 5, 2011. The coal transloader barge is called Parameswara, the parent company said in an announcement on Tuesday.
To finance the transaction, Tanah Laut has secured a 10-year loan deal worth of $7.7 million with Asia Infra Partners Ltd, a company based in Republic of Seychelles. Tanah Laut has also injected Rp 12 billion (US$ = Rp8,550) to PT Pelayaran Indx.
The company did not give further details. (denny)
