Tanah Laut secures contract from Bumi Resources

Ismis Apriyan, the director of the company, which is engaged in logistics and transportation of mineral commodities, said that the fee was set depending on the coal prices. ?With the current price of US$130 per ton, we receive fee of US$2 per ton,? he added.
Ismi said that the company operated coal trans loader ship Parameswara to load coal from a tug boat with a capacity of between 8 and 10 tons to a mother vessel with a capacity of between 60 and 180,000 tons.
He said that the company spent abut US$7.5 million to build the loader ship which began its operation in February 2012. At present, the loader ship is operated at Satui to handle Bumi Resources? coal loading.
Bumi, through its subsidiary PT Arutmin Indonesia operates a coal mine in Satui which produced about 1.6 million tons in the first quarter of this year, Last year, the total production of the Satui mine reached 4.3 million tons.(*)
