Indonesian upstream oil and gas authority BP Migas said Wednesday Indonesia had submitted bid for LNG tender held by South Korea?s POSCO and SK Corp.

?Tangguh and Bontang LNG each submitted separate bid,? Rachmat Soedibjo, BP Migas Chairman on a sideline of a seminar.

POSCO and SK Corp. opened 1.1 million per year LNG supply tender starting 2007 last month. Rachmat expected winner will be named within the next few months.

Regional LNG producers such as Australia?s North West Shelf LNG and Malaysia are reported to participate in the bid.

Meanwhile, Rachmat said Bontang LNG had decided not to participate in Taipower LNG bid which was closed this week due to term and conditions that East Kalimantan gas producers considered unfavorable. Tangguh is the only Indonesian LNG center participated in a bid through alliance with United Resources Inc, one of the four contenders of the bid, (alex)
