A senior government official said that the Tangguh LNG plant in Papua was ready to supply seven cargoes of LNG to state-owned fertilizer firm PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) in Aceh in 2013.
?For PIM, we have secured (the gas supply). But for the others (Kertas Kraft Aceh and Asean Aceh Fertlizer) not yet,? Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo told Petromindo.com Monday. She did not provide details.
PIM is seeking a gas supply of 55 mmscfd (seven cargoes) from the Tangguh LNG plant to help the company double production capacity to 1.14 million tons of urea per year from the current 57,000 tons capacity, according to a statement issued on Monday by the Office of the State Minister of State-Owned Enterprises.
The statement, however, said that negotiation over the price of the Tangguh LNG is still on going.
