Tangguh running at full capacity: BPMIGAS

Budi Indianto, deputy head of the country?s oil and gas upstream regulator BPMIGAS, said that the Tangguh LNG plant in Papua has now been running stable at full capacity, with production level close to 7.6 million tons per year.

But he said that considering that Tangguh was a relatively new plant, work to fine tune the plant is still ongoing.

?We have proposed that the inauguration of Tangguh will be made by President via video conference during the upcoming Christmas,? he said.

Next scheduled maintenance for train 1 will be conducted in January next year, which will take 20 days to complete, he added

Meanwhile, Agoes Sapto Raharjo, another official at BPMIGAS, said that LNG has been shipped to all off-takers of Tangguh including Sempra, K Power, Posco, and Fujian province in China. (bernard)
