Tangguh?s Train 2 turnaround cut short

The Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua is expected to resume normal operations earlier than scheduled since workers are able to speed up maintenance works there, upstream authority SKK Migas said on Friday.

The Train 2 facility at Tangguh was shut down on April 15 for a 36-day maintenance program.

SKK Migas?s Chairman Rudi Rubiandini however said the shutdown is expected to last only around 20 days as workers there are able to speed up the maintenance work.

He said the national gas production fell by 600 mmscfd and the condensate output by around 4,000 bpd as the result of the Train 2 shutdown.

He also said that the Cepu field in Central and East Java will resume normal operation sooner than expected as the maintenance work there, which is initially projected to take five days to complete, will be finished in three days.
