Tangguh sets boost LNG shipments in 2010

BP-operated Tangguh LNG will ship 9 cargoes of LNG until the end of this year, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said.

Tangguh LNG has shipped 8 cargoes of LNG since the start of operations earlier this year and will ship another one by the end of the year, Marketing Division Head Agus Sapto Rahardjo told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday.

In 2010, Tangguh will ship 116 cargoes of LNG to its customers in Asia and North America, he said.

Separately, BPMIGAS senior official Amir Hamzah told Petromindo.Com that Tangguh?s Train 1 and 2 which had earlier experienced technical problems ?had gradually returned to normal?.

Tangguh, which has installed capacity of 7.6 MTPA, has long-term to supply LNG to China, South Korea, North America and Japan. (godang)
