Tangguh signs gas sales and purchase agreement with PLN

(17 October 2014) -- BP is pleased to confirm that on 17 October 2014, Tangguh Contractor Parties signed a sales and purchase agreement with state-owned electricity company PT. PLN (Persero) to supply up to 1.5 million tons of LNG a year for 19 years beginning in early 2015.

Supply will initially come from Tangguh?s existing two LNG trains, followed by supply from Train 3. The agreement commits 40% of annual LNG production from the Tangguh Train 3 Expansion Project to PLN for the domestic market.

We thank the Government of Indonesia, including the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and SKK Migas, as well as PLN for their cooperation in reaching this milestone, which will provide significant benefit to Indonesia. (end of release)
