Tangguh to ink LNG supply deal with Japan's Tohoku

State oil and gas company PT. Pertamina said on Friday Indonesia will sign LNG supply deal from BP-operated Tangguh LNG project to Japan?s Tohoku Electric Power Co.

Vice CEO Iin Arifin Takhyan said the 2-cargoes-per annum deal will be signed during President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono?s visit to Japan on November 27.

Iin said BP and Pertamina will act as sellers on behalf on Indonesian side.

He did not give detail of the contract, but BPMIGAS chairman Kardaya Warnika in May 2006 interview said that the deal would be for 20 years, starting 2009. (godang)
