Tangguh to ship two cargoes of LNG to Itochu next month

Two LNG cargoes from the Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua Province are expected to be shipped in the second week of April this year to overseas buyer Itochu Petroleum Singapore.

Head of the Gas Marketing Division at Upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Arwan said that the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan is expected to provide approval at the end of March for the LNG allocation for Itochu.

?SKK Migas has requested for approval from the minister of energy and mineral resources and is currently waiting for the approval. We plan to ship two LNG cargoes in the second week of April,? he told Petromindo.com on Tuesday.

The LNG allocation for Itochu forms part of 41 cargoes of LNG from the Tangguh plant allocated for three overseas buyers for the period of 2017-2019. The two other buyers are Marubeni Corp and Origin Energy (Australia).

As reported by this portal in February, a source said that Itochu has been allocated with two cargoes of LNG from Tangguh for delivery in 2017 and six cargoes for delivery in 2018; while Origin has been allocated two cargoes for delivery in 2017, four cargoes for delivery in 2018, and another four for delivery in 2019. Marubeni has been allocated seven cargoes for delivery in 2017, six cargoes in 2018, and 10 cargoes in 2019. The LNG allocation has to be approved by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
