Tangguh Train 3's first LNG shipment targeted at 2019

BP Indonesia, the operator of Tangguh LNG plant in Papua, is targeting the commissioning and first LNG shipment from Train 3 in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

The target was revealed to Petromindo.com by William Lin, BP Regional President Asia Pacific, who also said that BP and its Partners are working to ensure that West Papua benefits economically from the continual development of the Tangguh Plant.

"The Government approved Tangguh Train 3 Plan of Development which has 40% of the LNG allocated to the domestic market. To this effect a Heads of Agreement has been executed with PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara for the sale."

William also said that BP has committed to undertake a study by 2016 for the supply of gas for petrochemicals production in West Papua, any petrochemicals gas supply would be in addition to the previously agreed gas allocation for Tangguh Train 3.
