Tangkuban Parahu to drill one exploration well this year

PT Tangkuban Parahu Geothermal Power (TPGP), subsidiary of PT Indonesia Power, which is a unit of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negra (PLN), is planning to drill one exploration well conduct this year at its concession area in Lembang, West Java province where the firm plans to develop a 2x55 MW geothermal power plant.
TPGP?s President Director Sugeng Triyono told Petromindo.com on the sidelines of IPP Conference 2016 organized by Petromindo that the depth target is 3000 meters.
?We expect to start drilling in September and complete it in November,? he said adding the firm has allocated around US$ 6-10 million for exploration.
Sugeng revealed that once the drilling is finished, it will be followed by the drilling of two other wells. He added the power purchase agreement (PPA) for the project was signed in 2014.
