Coal mining Tanito Group expects production from its East Kalimantan coal mine unit PT Tambang Damai to start production in the second half of next year.
Tanito Director Hiu Kirtiadi told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the company is currently trying to get permit from Ministry of Forestry to start construction.
?We hope to be able to secure the permit by year-end,? he said.
He added that the mine will be designed to produce 1-1.5MT of coal with CV of around 6,500 kcal/kg (ADB).
According to Kirtiadi, coal from the mine, which is located in East Kutai regency will be hauled through 100-km road to a stockpile, then transported via Mahakam river to transshipment point. (alex)
