Tanjung Awar-Awar coal-fired power plant to operate this year

Director General of Electricity Jarman said that the first unit of the Tanjung Awar-Awar 2x350 MW coal-fired power plant is expected to start operation in September and the second unit in December of this year.

He said Tuesday that construction of the power plant, located in Wadung area, Tuban Regency, East Java, has been progressing as scheduled, with about 91.87 percent of the targeted works have been completed.

He said that the electricity output from the plant will be supplied to the Java-Bali power grid system.
