IDX-listed coal miner PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) said on Tuesday that the coal bed methane (CBM) project in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, is targeted to drill four wells in 2014 including three new core holes and one new production well.

The company completed last year drilling of three pilot production wells.

The Tanjung Enim CBM project is targeted to start commercial operation in 2015 with a capacity equal to support a 200 MW power plant.

The CBM project in Tanjung Enim is developed by a consortium of PTBA, state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, and Dart Energy. In the consortium, PTBA has an interest of 27.5 percent, Pertamina 27.5 percent, while Dart Energy as the owner at 45 percent.
