Tanjung Jati B, Cilacap power plant start to get coal supply

The 2x660 MW Tanjung Jati coal-fired power plant in Central Java for instance has recently get an additional 60,000 tons of coal from a Panamax-sized vessel.
"The power plant's coal stock now totals 64,000 tons," state owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara's spokesperson Aryo Subijoko was quoted as saying by several newspapers.
The stock is expected to further increase as another vessel carrying 60,000 tons of coal is scheduled to arrive at the plant's jetty soon, he said.
Meanwhile, supplies to the 2x300 MW Cilacap coal-fired power plant in Central Java started to increase following the arrival of barges at Tanjung Intan Seaport in Cilacap and the power plant's jetty, Antara News Agency reported on Wednesday.
General Manager of state owned port operator Pelindo III Didik Harijanto said in Cilacap on Tuesday that three barges had berthed at Tanjung Intan and another barge at the power plants' jetty with combined capacity of about 45,000 tons of coal.
"With the arrival of new coal supplies, one unit of the Cilacap power plant with the capacity of 300 MW will soon fully operate. Another unit is still suspended for a 60-day overhaul since Feb. 20," the plant's Field Manager Sutikno said. (*)
