Tanjung Jati B coal supply tender nets three bidders

State electricity firm PLN said on Tuesday that three coal producers has been registered as qualified bidders for its medium CV coal supply tender for Tanjung Jati B 2x660-MW power plant in Central Java.

Tanjung Jati B Fuel Manager Chris Leo Manggala told Petromindo.Com that the bidders are: Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), Indominco Mandiri and Antang Gunung Meratus.

Chris said tender winner will be announced on March 21, 2008.

PT. PLN (PERSERO) PEMBANGKITAN TANJUNG JATI B, a PLN unit that runs the power plant in February opened tender to supply 800,000-1 MTPA of MCV coal in five years starting September 2008 with six-year extension option.

The company required coal with CV of 5,400 kcal/kg on Gross As Received basis (the Reject Limit).

Terms of Delivery is FOB basis at the Loading Port with a Bidder's guaranteed loading rate at Port of Loading, using panamax size of vessel (up to 70,000 DWT). (denny)
