A tanker ship that carries 150,000 barrels of Pertamina?s naphtha caught fire on early Monday in the waters of Indramayu, West Java.
Pertamina Processing Director Suroso Atmomartoyo told Petromindo.Com that the ?MT Pendopo? tanker caught fire while in the process of unloading the naphtha at Balongan refinery in Indramayu.
He said the tanker had been pulled out from Balongan?s single buoy mooring to the open sea to prevent the fire from spreading to the refinery. ?The refinery is not affected by the incident,? said Suroso, adding that up until Monday night effort to put out fire is still ongoing. (godang)
