Tantra Mining to increase 2008 coal production

Coal mining company PT Tantra Mining Development will ramp up production from its three mines to 60,000 per month next year from 40,000 per month this year.

Director Tan Tiong Siang told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday that the company sells its products to domestic market and to Thailand.

The company owns a coal mine in South Kalimantan and another two in Central Kalimantan with combined reserves of around 4 million tonnes.

He said coal production from the mines has CV range of 5,300-7,000 Kcal/kg. (denny)
