PT Tapin Suthra Berjaya (TSB), a joint venture between PT Hasnur Jaya Utama (Hasnur Group) and PT Padangbara Sukses Makmur, said that the 2010 production of its coal unit PT Bhumi Rantau Energi (BRE) has been 80 percent contracted.

TSB?s GM marketing Hartanto Indradi told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday that this year?s production target would likely only reach 1.5-1.8 million tons, lower compared to initial forecast at 2-.2.4 million tons due to bad weather.

?We are still open for any potential buyers to buy our coal, but it will just in spot-term,? he said. About 70 percent of TSB?s coal is going to export market such as China, India, and ASEAN countries and the remaining 30 percent to domestic market, he said.

For next year, BRE will boost its coal production to 3 million tons and further increase to 5 million in 2013, he said.

The quantity of production is the same with the coal sales figure, he added.

The company sells its coal with calorific value at 5,100-5,300 kcal/kg (ADB). BRE mine is located in Tapin regency, South Kalimantan with a concession area of 2,000 hectares. (denny)
