Taurian targeting to sell 2.8 million tons of coal this year

PT Taurian Iron & Steel, part of Taurian Group, a Indian-based diversified group engaged in mining, logistics, international trade, engineering, power generation etc, is targeting to sell 2.8 million tons of coal this year.

Amyn Karim, Manager Coal Procurement of the company, told Petromindo.com the company needs coal with the CV of 4,200 GAR and 5,000 GAR. The company has thus far sent about 150,000 tons of coal to India this year.

?Ovcer the first two months of this year we have delivered three Supramax vessels of coal to India,? he said adding that in 2013 the company sold about 2.5 million ton of coal. The coal was mostly from South Kalimantan, which accounted for about 85 percent of the total trading volume, with the rest from Sumatra.
