TBI eyeing to sell 1MT of coal to Java industrial customers

Local coal trader PT.Terminal Batubara Indah (TBI) is aiming to sell up to 800,000 tonnes of coal this year to its industrial customers in Java, a company official said on Tuesday.

Managing Director Sandy Chandra told Petromindo.Com that the company is selling coal to industrial customers including textiles and cements industries along West and Central part of Java.

TBI plans to increase sale to 1 million tones from 2008 on, he said.

TBI operates a 100,000-tonne stockpile in Cirebon, West Java and transports coal to its customers by trucks.

TBI source its coal from South Kalimantan coal miner PT.Adaro Indonesia and East Kalimantan coal mining firm PT.Binamitra Sumberarta. (alex)
