TBS Energi Utama president commissioner resigns

Energy and waste management firm PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (IDX: TOBA) said its President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner Bacelius Ruru has submitted his resignation, citing multiple commitments and the need for leadership renewal.

The company said it received the resignation letter on April 9, following a submission dated April 8.

Ruru, who has served in the role since 2019, stepped down in consideration of his concurrent positions, his tenure of more than 10 years with the company, and the need to support leadership regeneration in line with the firm’s strategic direction.

The resignation will take effect upon approval at a general meeting of shareholders.

Ruru has more than four decades of experience across the public and private sectors, including roles in law, finance and corporate governance. He previously served as president commissioner of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk and the Indonesia Stock Exchange, as well as chairman of capital market regulator Bapepam and secretary at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises.

He also currently holds positions as president director of PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk and independent president commissioner of PT Polychem Indonesia.
