Team finds falsified coal delivery orders

The Coordination, Control and Settlement Team for Coal Problems (TKPPMB) has found four falsified coal delivery orders under the name of Karya Maju village cooperative (KUD) at Jorong in Tanah Laut district.

The team chairman Armain Janit said that the four delivery orders cover a total of 20,286 tons of coal.

He said the team found incomplete numbers in the delivery orders and the year put there was actually 1999, but was then it was crossed and changed into 2000.

Therefore, he said KUD Karya Maju must be legally pursued for allegedly falsifying the delivery orders. By falsifying the delivery order, Karya Maju did not pay the required levies. And it must be involved in collusion with illegal coal miners.

Meanwhile, an official at KUD Karya Maju, H Saurin, said that his cooperative did not deliver or transport coals nor sell any coal delivery orders. Therefore, if the team found delivery orders issued by his cooperatives, he said, the orders must be issued by other parties.

"There are people selling false delivery orders. Those people want to destroy the image of our KUD," he said, adding that his cooperative had reported the person allegedly falsified the delivery orders to the police.

Other irregularities were found in Sunai Danau port. The port recorded that Karya Maju delivered 23,744 tons of coal in June. Meanwhile, the cooperative reported to the provincial mining office that its production for June only stood at 3,450. Moreover, the cooperative has reportedly ceased its mining operation in its concession area.

KUD Karya Maju had actually received a warning letter from the director general of general mining for selling fake delivery orders. Another KUD in the area that has received warning letter is KUD Karya Nata.

The director general has revoked the mining cession rights against a number of KUDs in South Kalimantan for violating various mining regulations. They are KUD Karya Bersama, KUD Bina Bersama, KUD Maduratna, KUD Usaha Karya dan KUD Resota. (*)
