The planned 2x7 MW coal-fired power plant in Tebo, Jambi, will need about 175,000 tons of coal supply per annum. The coal supplier will be determined by state-owned electricity company PLN as the owner of the project.

Dedy Setiawan, Deputy Manager of IDX-listed engineering firm PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk, the EPC contractor for the power plant project, told Petromindo.com recently that the company has carried out land clearing to give way for the development of the project.

He added that the construction work has so far only covered about 7 percent of the target. ?The power plant is expected to start commercial operation in 2014,? he said.
