The technical audits on state owned electricity company PLN's 20 power plants have been completed but the audit result will be only available to the public after a final review is made, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Monday.

"The technical audit has been completed and we are now waiting for a final report from Japanese consultant Newjecs and its local partner PT Indra Karya," PLN's director for power generating, Ali Herman, said.

The technical audit was carried to check the technical performance, actual capacity and the fuel consumption of PLN's 20 major hydro, coal-fired, gas-fired, and geothermal plants in the country.

Meanwhile PLN's deputy director of premier energy Tony Agus said that the audit report would be first reviewed by another team before being announced to the public. "The audit report will be available for the public after the final review is made," he said. (*)
