Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik is scheduled to install on Friday Teguh Pamudji and R. Sukhyar, respectively, as the ministry?s new Secretary General and Director General of Coal and Minerals.

Teguh and Sukhyar would replace Waryono Karno and Thamrin Sihite, who respectively would resign at the end of this year and early next year.

Teguh, who is currently Head of the ministry?s Education and Training Center, confirmed to Petromindo that he would be officially installed into the new position on Friday. Sukhyar, who is currently Head of the ministry?s Geological Agency, also confirmed of his appointment into the new position.

Waryono has been linked to the current high profile graft case involving the suspended chairman of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Rudi Rubiandini. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) discovered US$200,000 cash at Waryono?s office, a few days after the commission caught Rudi red handed of receiving bribe money from a Singapore-based oil trader. Waryono has been questioned by the KPK twice as a witness in the case, and has been slapped with a travel ban.
