“We are taking a very bold move by building eight new container ships with electric propulsion powered by LNG, and they will be single-fueled,” said Ricky Effendi, a company spokesperson, in an interview with Petromindo on Wednesday.
To support the LNG fuel demand of the new fleet, Temas has established a subsidiary, PT Lestari Nasional Gas. The company aims to complete both the new vessels and the LNG infrastructure by the end of 2025.
