Ten coal miners to soon sign contract amendment: Minister

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said stated that 10 coal mining companies holding the so-called PKP2B coal contracts of work will finally soon sign the long-delayed amended contracts.

?Next week there will be signing by 10 PKP2B holders,? Sudirman said Wednesday.

Director General of Mineral and Coal Bambang Gatot said earlier this month that nine companies were ready to sign the amended contracts as they have finally agreed to the last difficult issue of export tax.

He, however, said Wednesday that one additional company called TP Indexsim Coalindo has joined the list.

Another 63 PKP2B coal miners are still in the process of finalizing their contract amendment as required by the mining law.

Following is the list of 10 mining companies which are ready to sign the new contracts.
1. PT Indominco Mandiri in East Kalimantan
2. PT Trubaindo Coal Mining in East Kalimantan
3. PT Jorong Barutama Greston in South Kalimantan
4. PT Antang Gunung Meratus in South Kalimantan
5. PT Borneo Indobara in South Kalimantan
6. PT Gunungbayan Pratama Coal in East Kalimantan
7. PT Kartika Selabumi Mining in East Kalimantan
8. PT Bahari Cakrawala Sebuku in South Kalimantan
9. PT Mandiri Inti Perkasa in East Kalimantan
10. PT Indexim Coalindo in East Kalimantan.
