The tender process to select contractors for planned Sumsel 9 and Sumsel 10 coal-fired power plants in South Sumatra is expected to be completed in December of this year.

This was revealed by Bambang Triharyono, Executive Project Director at PT DH Energy, which is one of the participants in the tender.

He told Petromindo.com that the company, a subsidiary of IDX-listed PT Darma Henwa Tbk, was currently preparing for the first response toward document provided by state utility PLN in relation to the construction of the power plants. ?We?ll submit our response on September 23, to be followed with second response,? he said, adding that these are part of the discussion with PLN, so that wen the company wins the bid in December, there would no longer be further discussion. ?Issues regarding coal supply, price, etc will be completed when the results of the tender are announced in December,? he said.
